If you're ordering anything from play.com best order it from a play.com trader if avaialable rather than play.com itself as the trader must dispatch within two working days. Things that come direct from play.com take quite a while to arrive as they have to come from Jersey. Most play.com traders are based in the UK so sometimes you can have your goos a couple of days after you order.

Another book i'll be purchasing and looking forward to reading.

Problem being is finding the time to bloody read them all. Have quite a few to get through at the moment. Reckon i'm gonna make a start tonight with Phil Thompson's book. Anyone read it?
I read it on holiday and thought it was a great read. One of the better autobiographies I've read.

I've ordered it!

I've also recently bought Anfield of Dreams: A Kopite's Odyssey by Neil Dunkin, Neil is from Anfields Lake District in L4, its a great read, I recommend this.

Also Paul Tomkins Dynasty which I'll get round to reading later.

Just finished reading it over the past couple of days. I'm not sure what non-Reds (or even wools) would make of it, but for us kindred spirits it is absolutely brilliant. Reade is near enough the same age as me, which means his reminiscences coincide so much with my own and I am eternally grateful that he has the skills to articulate the memories which I never could.

The book as a whole left me feeling like football itself does: great big highs; loads of laughs; deep lows; and plenty of tears, relating to matters both on and off the pitch.

Highly recommended.

Just finished this myself, as I had to dip in and out of it over the last few weeks.

A good read, but for me, his points relating to both Heysel and Hillsborough will be the lasting memory.

Being young when both incidents happened, I've read a lot about them over the years, and listened alot from those present. Reade puts forward a very frank and reasoned account of both incidents, the fall-out, and how they both affected him personally.

Some uniqure insights, based on Reades interactions with both Shankly and Paisley are also in the book, as are insights into the relationship with his dad, brother and children.

Enjoy!
